CMS has reported global revenues of more than €2 billion for the first time, as its UK business delivered 6% growth to hit £779 million in the 2024/25 financial year.
The firm’s global revenue for the calendar year reached €2.073 billion - up nearly 6% year-on-year - marking a major milestone in CMS’s 25th anniversary year. The firm said growth was led by its corporate practice, with strong contributions from disputes, real estate, tax, employment and banking.
UK managing partner Stephen Millar said the firm had seen "another strong year of growth and expansion across our key markets in the UK, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East", pointing to particularly strong years for the disputes, finance and energy teams.
Steady expansion
CMS continued to grow its international footprint in 2024. Swedish firm Wistrand joined the network as CMS Wistrand, while Mauritius-based Prism Chambers became an associate firm within CMS Africa. The firm also opened a representative office in Silicon Valley focused on business development in the US market.
In 2024, CMS promoted 54 new partners across 17 countries.
Globally, CMS operates as a partnership of partnerships, with each member firm financially independent and managing its own operations.
The UK business - officially CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP - was formed through the 2017 merger of CMS Cameron McKenna with City firms Nabarro and Olswang. As well as nine UK offices, it includes many of the firm’s international offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
