LegalTechTalk will launch a US edition in Miami in December 2027, marking the fast-growing legal tech conference's first expansion outside Europe.

The business has grown rapidly since its 2024 debut, attracting more than 5,500 attendees and 400 speakers this year, with revenue expected to approach £7 million.

LegalTechTalk has set its sights on the US, with the fast-growing legal technology conference announcing plans to launch a Miami event in December 2027 as it expands beyond Europe.

The move comes after a period of rapid growth for the business which was founded by Bradley Collins and Mikkel Jensen, who both previously worked on similar events in the insurtech space.

LegalTechTalk held its first event in London in 2024 and has quickly established itself as one of the legal industry's largest gatherings focused on tech and transformation.

More than 5,500 attendees and 400 speakers are expected at this year’s event, while revenue is approaching £7 million, according to Collins in a recent interview with trade publication A Media Operator.

Crossing the Atlantic

LegalTechTalk USA will take place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and launch with backing from 55 founding partners and more than 70 confirmed speakers.

Founding partners include legal tech heavyweights such as Clio, iManage, Legora, LexisNexis, Luminance and Wolters Kluwer.

The event will target a similar audience to its London counterpart, bringing together law firm leaders, general counsel, legal operations executives, legal tech founders, investors and technology providers.

Collins said the expansion reflected the company's ambition to build a global platform for legal transformation.

"The legal sector is experiencing one of the most significant periods of change in its history," he said.

"The opportunity to bring LegalTechTalk to North America allows us to connect communities across continents, create new opportunities for collaboration and build a truly global platform for legal transformation."

Miami calling

Miami was selected for its position as a gateway between North America, Latin America and Europe, as well as its growing reputation as a technology and business hub.

Jensen said demand from North America had been a major factor behind the decision to expand.

"The response from the legal community has exceeded every expectation, and demand from North America has been a major factor in our decision to expand internationally," he said.
