MoFo adds tech trio in London, takes partner hires to 10 over past year

Morrison Foerster has hired three technology-focused lawyers in London from Morgan Lewis and Baker McKenzie.
The arrivals take MoFo’s London partner hires to 10 over the past year, with technology a core focus for the firm, according to leadership.
Morrison Foerster has hired a trio of lawyers in London as the US firm expands its City offering around tech transactions work.
Mike Pierides has joined from Morgan Lewis alongside Oliver Bell, who will step up to partner at MoFo. Will Holder arrives from Baker McKenzie, where he was a partner.
Tech focus
Pierides spent seven years at Morgan Lewis and advises on technology and commercial transactions, including outsourcing, cybersecurity, data privacy and AI-related mandates.
Bell also joins from Morgan Lewis, where he spent seven years and was previously an associate. His practice focuses on technology-led transactions, outsourcing and data centre mandates.
Holder, meanwhile, spent nine years as a partner at Baker McKenzie. He is an M&A lawyer specialising in the TMT sector, advising on public and private deals, joint ventures and private equity transactions across technology, media and fintech.
MoFo chair Eric McCrath said “technology is at the heart of everything we do at Morrison Foerster,” adding that the hires reflected the firm’s continued investment in its core tech M&A and technology transactions capabilities.
London growth
The arrivals mark MoFo’s eighth, ninth and tenth partner hires in London over the past year as the firm continues a broader growth push in the City.
The recent run of hires has included partners across private equity, leveraged finance, tax, fintech and litigation.
MoFo currently has 28 partners in London, according to the firm’s website.
