Dentons rolls out DAISY as firms double down on private AI tools

Dentons has launched DAISY, an in-house generative AI assistant now live across its Europe and Central Asia network.
The launch follows similar rollouts by the likes of Linklaters and Addleshaw Goddard, as firms move to develop private tools tailored to legal workflows and data security needs.
Dentons has launched DAISY, an in-house generative AI assistant, as firms continue to roll out private tools trained on internal data to navigate security and confidentiality challenges.
The firm says DAISY is now live across Europe and Central Asia, giving lawyers and business services staff access to a secure AI chat interface, pre-set tasks like document summarisation and drafting, a translation tool and a browser for firm policies.
More features are on the way, including company profiles, news monitoring and custom research tools.
The system is model-agnostic and built to plug into different large language models depending on the task, giving the firm flexibility to upgrade or switch models as needed.
The arms race for in-house AI
DAISY joins a growing list of internal tools being developed across Big Law.
Linklaters’ in-house chatbot Laila was handling more than 60,000+ prompts a week by the end of last year, according to the firm, while Addleshaw Goddard’s innovation head Kerry Westland recently told The Non-Billable Podcast that the firm's in-house tool AGPT sees 2,000+ daily prompts, with an adoption rate of 85% - something she described as "mind-blowing".
The tools are being positioned as more secure, tailored alternatives to public platforms like ChatGPT - and as a way to refine legal workflows using firm-specific knowledge.
Dentons' AI strategy
DAISY was developed in-house by Dentons’ Europe Innovation and Intelligence team, working with the firm’s tech group. It’s the latest step in Dentons’ broader AI strategy.
The firm is also a contributor to Noxtua, a so-called "sovereign" European legal AI platform developed and hosted entirely within Europe to address regulatory and compliance concerns. Berlin-based Noxtua raised €81 million in a Series B round in April, with Dentons and CMS backing the company as strategic investors.
What they said
"The launch of DAISY is a milestone for our Firm. Not only will it help boost the productivity of both lawyers and business services professionals alike, but it will also help to strengthen Dentons’ position as a leader in innovation", said Wendela Raas, CEO of Dentons Europe.
"DAISY is a model-agnostic, plug-and-play system that delivers diverse generative AI capabilities while ensuring a consistent user experience", added Břetislav Šimral, Dentons’ Europe Innovation and Intelligence Director.
"The modular architecture allows us to choose the best LLMs for each workflow, integrate third-party tools, and easily scale to meet real-world use cases."
