Five-partner boost for Eversheds in London with hires from Latham, A&O and White & Case

Eversheds Sutherland has added five London partners across structured finance, M&A, data and technology, and construction.

The hires include partners from Latham & Watkins, A&O Shearman, White & Case and from in-house positions.

Eversheds Sutherland has bulked up its London bench with five partner hires spanning structured finance, M&A, data and technology, and construction.

The moves come in a busy week of lateral partner announcements from major UK firms after the summer lull, with Pinsent Masons, Squire Patton Boggs and Shoosmiths all unveiling senior hires of their own.

The hires

Structured finance partner Martin Corrigan joins from Latham & Watkins, having previously spent more than 15 years at Clifford Chance. He specialises in securitisation and structured finance, with experience leading deals in sectors from digital infrastructure to car rental fleets.

In corporate, Kashif Siddiqui joins as an M&A partner from an in-house role as head of legal at Pepco Group - the previous owner of retail giant Poundland. A former partner at McDermott and Squires, he brings deal experience across Europe and the Middle East, with a focus on renewables, retail, fintech and private equity.

The data and technology team gains Karishma Brahmbhatt, who joins from A&O Shearman. She advises on privacy, AI, data ethics and commercial technology matters, and is considered a rising star in the area.

The firm has also added two construction partners. James Holden, who joins from White & Case, specialises in international arbitration and high-value construction disputes. John Lurie joins from engineering giant Bechtel, where he was regional head of legal for EMEA, bringing two decades’ experience on infrastructure and energy projects worldwide.
