Jones Day continues London hiring push with energy and infra duo

Jones Day has added energy and infrastructure partners Caroline Gregson and Nath Curtis to its London office.
The hires follow a busy year in the lateral market for the firm, which added 10 new partners in London in 2025, according to Edwards Gibson.
Jones Day has added two energy and infrastructure finance partners to its London office, continuing a busy period of lateral hiring as the firm builds out its UK energy transition bench.
Caroline Gregson and Nath Curtis have joined the firm as partners in its financial markets practice. Both are debt finance specialists, advising across projects in renewable energy, natural resources and infrastructure.
Gregson’s most recent public role was at Osborne Clarke, where she made partner in 2020. Companies House records show she briefly joined Gowling in September 2025 before leaving the partnership two months later. Curtis joins from Gowling, where he was a partner.
Energy and infra push
The hires add further depth to Jones Day’s London energy and infrastructure offering, which has been expanding steadily. Last summer, the firm hired energy partners Michelle T Davies and Rob McNabb from EY Law.
Jones Day was one of the most active firms in the London lateral market last year, adding 10 new partners - nine of them partner-to-partner hires - according to data from recruiter Edwards Gibson.
What they said
Alban Caillemer du Ferrage, chair of Jones Day’s EMEA and APAC financial markets practice, described the pair as “highly accomplished lawyers who have advised on some of the most important energy and infrastructure finance projects in the UK.”
John Phillips, partner-in-charge of the firm’s London office, said: “Building on the momentum of 2025's ten-lawyer expansion, the arrival of Caroline and Nath cements the Firm's stronghold in London's Energy Transition & Infrastructure market.”
