Dentons has partnered with Legora to roll out its legal AI platform across the firm’s European offices.

The deal is the latest in a wave of major law firm sign-ups for Legora, which recently raised $80 million at a $675 million valuation.

Dentons has become the latest major law firm to sign up with Legora, the fast-growing legal AI platform that’s been on a spree of high-profile law firm partnerships.

The deal will see Dentons roll out Legora across its European offices, giving lawyers access to tools for drafting, research, contract review and bulk document analysis - all integrated into Word and the firm’s document management systems.

Dentons' AI push

It marks another step in Dentons’ push to scale its AI capabilities. In May, the firm launched DAISY, an in-house generative AI assistant for broader business tasks. Along with CMS, Dentons is also a strategic backer of Berlin-based Noxtua, the European "sovereign" legal AI platform which announced a €80 million Series B round in April.

What they said

"This partnership with Legora underscores our continued efforts to be a leader in AI development and adoption", said Wendela Raas, CEO of Dentons Europe. "Rolling out the platform across our European teams will give our lawyers a considerable head start on time-intensive tasks, and the improved speed and efficiency will allow them to spend more time delivering the quality legal advice that our clients truly value."

Legora founder and CEO Max Junestrand said Dentons’ track record with AI would be a "crucial point for further innovation and close alignment." He added: "Collaboration lies at the heart of everything we do, and we’re proud to be supporting Dentons as a close and valued strategic partner."

Legora on a roll

The move extends a string of wins for Legora, which recently closed an $80 million Series B funding round valuing the business at nearly $700 million.

In the last two months alone, Legora has signed deals with DWF, Cleary and Taylor Wessing, adding to existing customers including Goodwin, Bird & Bird, Addleshaw Goddard and Mishcon de Reya.

Alongside US rival Harvey, Legora is vying to become the go-to general purpose AI platform for Big Law, offering a suite of tools that automate common legal tasks such as drafting, research, contract review and bulk document review.
