Legora has opened a Munich office to better serve clients across Germany and the broader DACH region.
The company says more than 80 law firms and in-house teams in the region are already using its platform.
Legora has announced the opening of its first office in Germany, selecting Munich as a base to accelerate growth across the DACH region.
The new office will act as a regional hub for both clients and hiring, forming part of a broader international expansion following the company’s $550 million Series D, which brought its valuation to $5.6 billion.
“Munich was a deliberate choice,” said Max Junestrand, Legora chief executive and co-founder. “It places us close to our customers and gives us access to exceptional talent across both disciplines that define our business - engineering and law.”
He added that proximity to the region would allow the company to better tailor its product to the German-speaking market.
Established foothold
Legora said it is already widely adopted across the DACH region, with more than 80 law firms and in-house legal teams using its platform.
Clients include a mix of global firms such as Bird & Bird, Linklaters, White & Case, CMS and Dentons, German firms including GÖRG and Seitz, and organisations such as Austrian bank Erste Group, advisory firm RSM and Vienna-based law firm Schönherr.
The breadth of those clients, spanning international firms, domestic independents and in-house teams, suggests the company has already built a meaningful foothold ahead of its physical expansion.
Scaling up
The Munich launch follows a year of rapid growth for Legora, which has scaled from around 40 to more than 400 employees over the past 12 months.
The company now operates across a number of global hubs including Stockholm, London, New York, Chicago, Houston, Sydney and Bengaluru.
