Taylor Wessing’s highest-paid partner earned £10.3 million in 2025, among the highest payouts ever reported by a major UK law firm.
The payout came in a strong year for the firm, as revenue and profit jumped ahead of its planned merger with Winston & Strawn.
Taylor Wessing’s best-paid partner made £10.3 million last year, according to the firm’s newly published accounts, putting the payout among the highest ever reported by a City law firm.
Accounts for the UK LLP show that the partner entitled to the largest profit share received £10.38 million in the 2025 financial year, up sharply from £7.75 million the year before. The figure has risen steadily in recent years, from £5.4 million in 2023 and £4.8 million in 2022.
Strong year
The bumper payout came in a strong year for Taylor Wessing. UK revenue rose 15% to £283.7 million, while profit increased 12.3% to £103 million.
The results underline the firm’s continued momentum as it prepares for a major transatlantic expansion. Last week, Taylor Wessing’s partnership signed off on its planned merger with US firm Winston & Strawn, clearing the way for the launch of the combined firm, Winston Taylor.
The tie-up, announced in December, will create a transatlantic law firm with more than 1,400 lawyers across the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, operating from 20 offices globally.
