Addleshaws launches tax disputes practice with five-strong Pinsents team

Addleshaw Goddard has hired Pinsent Masons’ head of global tax disputes, Steven Porter, alongside four specialists, to launch a tax disputes and investigations practice.
The hires mark a fresh expansion of Addleshaws’ tax practice, following the arrival of Kyle Rainsford from Travers Smith last year.
Addleshaw Goddard has launched its own tax disputes and investigations practice, bringing on board highly-rated partner Steven Porter, head of global tax disputes at Pinsent Masons, to lead the offering.
Porter joins with a four-strong team from Pinsents, which includes a director, a managing associate and two tax managers.
The group brings expertise advising corporate clients and high net worth individuals across a range of contentious issues, including HMRC investigations and disputes as well as employment, customs and property matters.
The hires mark a fresh expansion of Addleshaws’ tax practice, following the arrival of corporate and real estate tax specialist Kyle Rainsford from Travers Smith last June.
