Ashurst breaks £1bn barrier to extend nine-year growth streak

Ashurst has posted £1 billion in revenue for the first time, up 8% on last year's numbers to £1.34 billion.
Profit per equity partner rose 4% to £1.39 million, while real estate revenue jumped 49% over the year.
Ashurst has topped the £1 billion revenue mark for the first time, rounding off its ninth consecutive year of growth.
Revenue climbed 8% to £1.034 billion in FY25, up from £961 million last year. Profit per equity partner (PEP) rose 4% to £1.39 million.
The firm has now delivered nine consecutive years of growth, with revenue increasing at an average of 8% and PEP at 10% annually over the period.
Behind the numbers
All of Ashurst’s regions posted growth, with Australia (up 11%) and the Middle East (up 14%) leading the way. The firm’s continental Europe offices also performed well, with Luxembourg revenue up 14% and Spain up 12%. In terms of practice areas, the firm said that real estate was a particular standout, experiencing 49% growth for the year.
The firm promoted 20 new partners and made 32 lateral partner hires over the year. It also continued its tech and innovation push, rolling out legal AI platform Harvey to all 4,300 staff across its network - it says the majority of employees now use generative AI tools in their daily work.
