Clyde & Co has hired two finance partners from Greenberg Traurig in London, strengthening its real assets and asset finance offering.

Real estate finance specialist Daniyal Ansari and asset finance partner Graeme McLellan are making the move.

Greenberg Traurig has lost two finance partners in London to Clyde & Co, with Daniyal Ansari and Graeme McLellan joining from the US firm.

Ansari, who joined Greenberg Traurig in 2022 from BCLP, is a real estate finance specialist advising lenders and borrowers on domestic and European transactions.

McLellan is an infrastructure finance specialist and had been head of London banking and finance at Greenberg Traurig, as well as European co-chair of its global infrastructure group.

He joined the firm in 2019 from Stephenson Harwood and has a particular focus on aircraft and rail rolling stock financing.

Finance boost

The hires will boost Clyde & Co’s bench across real assets finance, an area where it already has a strong presence, particularly in real estate and aviation finance.

Norman Fraser, partner and co-head of transport, said the pair were “leading practitioners and are well known across the European real assets finance market for advising institutional financiers on complex, capital‑intensive transactions.”

He added: “Their arrival significantly strengthens Clyde & Co’s position as a go‑to adviser for private credit and institutional capital across converging asset classes including data centres and digital infrastructure, reinforcing our London‑led platform and the execution of our European growth strategy.”

The move comes as Clyde & Co continues to invest in its London platform, where it recently promoted seven new partners as part of its 2026 promotions round.
