London is the firm’s third-largest office by headcount, with around 65 partners and £226m of revenue last year.

Goodwin has promoted three lawyers to partner in London as part of a 43-strong round across the firm globally.

Adnan Bhaiji has been made up in the firm's real estate practice, Michael Grainger in life sciences and Emily Townsend in technology.

The latest round is bigger than in recent years. The Boston-headquartered firm promoted 36 lawyers to partner last year, including two in London, and 35 in 2024.

London growth

London is Goodwin's third-largest office by headcount, behind New York and Boston, with around 65 partners.

The office generated £226 million in revenue last year. Goodwin also has a Cambridge office in the UK focused on technology life sciences work.

“Our new partners represent the future of Goodwin,” chair Anthony McCusker said.

“They are trusted business advisors, exceptional lawyers and collaborative leaders who are deeply embedded in the industries and markets shaping our clients’ businesses.”

He added that the promotions reflected their ability to “think big in the way that our clients need more than ever”.
