Legora has landed White & Case for a global rollout of its legal AI platform, one of its biggest law firm customers signed up to date.

The deal caps a standout year in which the company has emerged as a leading player alongside Harvey in the race to become the legal AI platform of choice.

Legora has landed White & Case as a customer for a global rollout of its legal AI platform, handing the fast-growing startup one of its biggest client wins to date and cementing its position at the top of the legal AI race.

The deployment will extend across White & Case’s 43-offices worldwide, marking another major endorsement for the Stockholm-founded company just two months after it announced a firmwide rollout at Magic Circle heavyweight Linklaters.

A marquee win for Legora

The deal caps a standout year for Legora, which has emerged as the frontrunner alongside Harvey in the legal AI platform race. In October, the company hit a $1.8 billion valuation following a $150 million fundraise, and it has been moving quickly to broaden its proposition beyond core legal workflows.

Central to that push is Portal, a collaborative workspace product unveiled in November that is designed to bring law firms and clients closer together and allow firms to productise their knowledge.

White & Case and Legora said that working together on Portal is part of the partnership, helping deliver "additional value" to clients through AI-enabled workflows.

White & Case doubles down on AI

White & Case has been on the front foot when it comes to tech and innovation.

Last year, it brought on well-known innovation leader Isabel Parker as chief innovation officer from Deloitte and recently launched its own in-house AI assistant called Atlas, a ChatGPT-style application. The Legora partnership sits alongside that in-house build.

Dipen Sabharwal, a partner and member of the firm’s executive committee, said Legora’s "pace of innovation" and willingness to collaborate were key to the decision, describing the partnership as part of a broader strategic approach to AI across the firm.

Legora CEO Max Junestrand said: "We’re proud to partner closely with White & Case, a truly global law firm with a rich history and ambitious goals."
