Mayer Brown boosts NQ pay to £150k

Mayer Brown has raised London NQ salaries by 11% to £150,000.

The firm now sits ahead of Baker McKenzie, HSF Kramer, Ashurst, Hogan Lovells and Macfarlanes on junior pay.

Mayer Brown has increased NQ salaries in London to £150,000 - an 11% rise from the previous £135,000 - bringing it level with the Magic Circle on headline NQ pay.

The move puts Mayer Brown ahead of several rivals, including Baker McKenzie and HSF Kramer on £145,000, and £10,000 above Ashurst, Hogan Lovells and Macfarlanes, which all currently sit at £140,000. All of those firms have increased NQ rates this year, with the exception of Macfarlanes, which most recently raised pay last year.

We understand that trainee salaries at Mayer Brown are still under review.

Mayer Brown’s hike follows a series of uplifts across both UK and US firms in London, many of which are now clustered around the £140k-£150k mark.
