Travers Smith has raised NQ salaries to £130,000, up from £120,000.
Trainees have also been given a small pay rise.
Travers Smith has increased salaries for newly qualified lawyers to £130,000, up from £120,000. The firm says that juniors will also have the potential to earn up to £20,000 as an additional bonus during the financial year.
Trainees will also see a small boost, with first-years now earning £55,000 and second-years £60,000.
The move brings Travers level with firms like DLA Piper on NQ base salary, but still behind a growing number of rivals pushing higher. Ashurst raised NQ pay to £140,000 in June, while HSF Kramer lifted its rate to £145,000 at the start of July.
In a statement, Travers said: "We highly value the contribution of our associates and are pleased to be able to make this additional investment at all levels to support them as they grow in their careers with us."
The salary rise comes as firms across the City continue to battle for junior talent. See our City law firm salary table for where things currently stand.
