The head of White & Case’s EMEA private equity practice will step back from the US firm at the end of March to start a career break.
London-based Lucy Bullock, who made partner in 2019, said she would be leaving her position “to take some time out to decide what’s next.”
“At this time, I’m not closing the door on anything,” she wrote on LinkedIn. “I am simply taking some time to reflect and relax, as well as to see what doors might open.”
She added that she was looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, saying she felt “very lucky to be able to now make the choice to take this time out.”
Bullock specialises in advising sponsor-held portfolio companies across the full lifecycle of investments, from buyout through to exit.
She began her career at Linklaters, briefly moved to divorce boutique Vardags, and spent the past 12 years at White & Case, with three years as head of the private equity practice across EMEA.
During her time at White & Case, she advised a range of major private equity clients, including Triton, CVC, Bridgepoint and Softbank.
