Eversheds is raising London NQ salaries by £10,000 to £110,000, effective from September.
The move is another sign of fresh momentum in the City’s junior pay race, following rises from DLA, Pinsents, CMS and others.
Eversheds Sutherland is raising pay for its newly qualified (NQ) solicitors in London by £10,000, taking base salaries to £110,000.
The 10% bump moves the firm ahead of Addleshaw Goddard (£100,000) and maintains its lead over Pinsent Masons - which announced an increase to its City NQ rates this week, moving juniors to £105,000.
The new rate, first reported by the Financial Times, will kick in this September - when Eversheds is also expected to announce trainee rates.
