Latham & Watkins has promoted four lawyers to partner in London, as part of its latest global round elevating counsel to the partnership.
The round follows Latham’s autumn promotions, when the firm elected 40 associates to partner globally - including seven in London - in its largest January round since 2022.
Latham runs two promotion cycles each year: associate promotions take effect on 1 January, while counsel promotions take effect on 1 March.
The four new London partners:
- Becky Critchley - Capital Markets
- Amanda Fortuna - Banking & Private Credit
- Delyth Hughes - Capital Markets
- Tim Scott - M&A and Private Equity
Promotions and poaching
The promotions add further depth to Latham’s London office, which is the firm’s second largest globally after New York and now houses more than 140 partners. They come as the firm continues to invest heavily in laterals.
In January, Latham hired structured finance partner Lucy Oddy and real estate finance partners David Oppenheimer and David Varne from A&O Shearman in London. This week, it also struck again at the top of the US market, hiring two partners from Wachtell in New York.
