Paul Weiss adds Dechert funds partner in London private capital push

Paul Weiss has hired Nathalie Sadler from Dechert as an investment funds partner in London.
The hire follows Paul Weiss’s recent addition of a European infrastructure M&A head in London, as the firm continues to scale its private capital platform in the UK and Europe.
Paul Weiss has hired Nathalie Sadler from Dechert as an investment funds partner in its London office, continuing its push to build out its private funds capability in Europe.
Sadler joins the firm’s investment funds group, where she will advise on the structuring, establishment and management of private investment funds across asset classes.
The move follows the firm’s recent promotion round adding eight new partners in London and hire of European infrastructure M&A head Paul Foote, underscoring its focus on building out private capital capabilities in the City as US firms continue to invest in sponsor-side work.
Dechert tenure
She spent more than 14 years at Dechert, where she trained and qualified before progressing through the ranks to partner.
Her practice spans private credit, private equity and real estate funds, as well as advising on operational matters including carried interest arrangements and employee co-investment programmes.
What they said
Paul Weiss chair Scott A. Barshay, who recently replaced longtime chair Brad Karp, said: “Nathalie brings deep experience advising fund sponsors across a range of asset classes, and we are excited to welcome her.”
“Nathalie has a stellar market reputation and extensive expertise in investment funds,” said Jeremy Leggate, co-head of European investment funds. “As we see continued growth in fund formation and sponsor activity across Europe, Nathalie represents a key addition to our Investment Funds Group in London, and her arrival will further strengthen our team’s capabilities.”
