Pinsent Masons is launching in Poland with a six-partner team in Warsaw, marking its entry into the CEE market.

The move follows a wave of international firms expanding into Poland as Warsaw cements its role as a regional legal hub.

Pinsent Masons has announced plans to open an office in Warsaw, marking its entry into the Polish market as international firms continue to expand into one of Europe’s fastest-growing legal hubs.

The firm said it will open in mid-2026 with a six-partner founding team spanning real estate, corporate/M&A, banking and finance and construction.

The initial team will be drawn from rival international firms including Dentons, CMS, DLA Piper and Greenberg Traurig, with Pinsents saying it also plans to develop additional practices over time.

The Warsaw office will be Pinsents’ 30th globally and its ninth in mainland Europe.

Poland push

The move comes as Poland attracts increasing attention from international firms looking to tap into a buoyant domestic economy and Warsaw’s growing role as a regional legal and commercial hub for Central and Eastern Europe.

Pinsents joins a wave of international firms expanding into the country. Last year, Fieldfisher launched in Warsaw and Krakow with a 32-lawyer team, while Addleshaw Goddard absorbed an 80-lawyer team from Linklaters to establish its own Warsaw office.

The Warsaw office will be led by real estate partner Bartłomiej Kordeczka, who joins from Dentons, where he co-led the real estate practice and previously served as Warsaw co-managing partner, and corporate/M&A partner Jakub Marcinkowski, who joins from DLA Piper, where he co-headed the firm’s Polish corporate practice.

What they said

Andrew Masraf, senior partner at Pinsents, said the expansion reflects the firm’s ambition to scale its European platform and respond to growing client demand in Poland, which he described as “one of Europe’s most resilient and dynamic economies”.

Kordeczka said Warsaw was increasingly recognised as a legal and commercial hub for the CEE region, while Marcinkowski pointed to strong demand for M&A, banking and real estate advice on transactions governed by English law across the region.

The launch adds Poland to Pinsent Masons’ European footprint, which already includes offices in France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain and the Netherlands.
