Goodwin has hired debt finance partner Tom Roberts from Kirkland & Ellis as it continues to bolster its London private equity bench.
Roberts brings over a decade of experience across London and Hong Kong, with a focus on leveraged finance.
He started his career at Freshfields and joined Kirkland three years ago, where he advised major private equity houses including KKR, Advent and Blackstone, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Bigger picture
Roberts is the latest addition to Goodwin’s expanding UK private equity group. Last spring, the firm picked up M&A duo Ian Keefe and George Weavil from Travers Smith. The practice now includes more than 350 lawyers globally and more than 80 in London.
He also follows real estate finance duo Paul Gray and Lewis Gaut who joined Goodwin from DLA Piper in January.
