Latham makes up four London partners in latest promos round

Latham has promoted four lawyers to partner in London as part of a 36-strong global round.
The London cohort includes two M&A and private equity lawyers, with the office now home to more than 150 partners.
Latham & Watkins has promoted four lawyers to partner in London as part of a 36-strong global round.
The London promotions include two lawyers in M&A and private equity - Michael Houlder and Harry Redford - alongside tax lawyer Aaron Bradley and banking and private credit lawyer Philipp Hagenbuch.
The four-partner London cohort is smaller than last year’s equivalent round, when seven associates made partner in the City.
Globally, the 36 promotions are only slightly below last October’s 40-strong round, which was Latham’s largest since 2022.
London grows
The promotions come as London continues to play a major role in Latham’s business.
The office is the firm’s second largest globally after New York and now has more than 150 partners. Revenue from London was reported to have topped $1 billion last year, while Latham generated a record $8.3 billion globally.
Latham moved into a new London headquarters at One Leadenhall in August, giving the firm a new base in the City.
The firm runs two promotion cycles each year. Associate-to-partner promotions are announced in the autumn and take effect on 1 January, while counsel promotions are announced in February and take effect on 1 March.
Latham made up four London counsel in the round announced in February this year.
Chair and managing partner Rich Trobman said: “Congratulations to our newly promoted partners. Each has consistently demonstrated outstanding legal skills, a deep commitment to exceptional client service, strong teamwork, and leadership - and together they reflect the depth of talent and excellence across our firm.”
