Eversheds Sutherland has increased newly qualified solicitor pay to £120,000 from £110,000 in London and to £80,000 from £72,500 in its regional locations.

The rises follow a rapid series of NQ pay hikes across London.

Eversheds Sutherland has announced pay increases for newly qualified solicitors, with new London associates set to earn £120,000, up from £110,000.

NQs in the firm’s regional offices will now earn £80,000, a £7,500 increase on the previous salary of £72,500.

In London, Eversheds is now in line with Simmons & Simmons, K&L Gates and CMS, leading on Mishcon de Reya and Squire Patton Boggs by £10,000.

The hikes come amid a flurry of NQ pay boosts across the City - just last week, Mishcon increased its rate to Eversheds’ previous figure of £110,000.

Earlier in the month, Macfarlanes and Baker McKenzie both raised their NQ salaries to £150,000 to match the Magic Circle, and DLA Piper increased its NQ pay to £140,000.
