Litigation AI platform TrialView raises $4.1m to fuel international growth

AI litigation platform TrialView has raised $4.1 million in funding to accelerate global expansion, including into the US, Singapore and Australia.
The London and Dublin-based company is already used by 15 of the UK’s top 20 law firms and says it has reached $3 million in ARR while remaining profitable.
AI-powered litigation platform TrialView has raised $4.1 million in funding to fuel international expansion in a round led by Ireland-based Elkstone Ventures.
TrialView’s tech is targeted squarely at litigation teams with tools that assist with case management and traditionally time-consuming tasks like preparing court bundles.
The London and Dublin-based company has primarily been focused on the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East. The new funding will enable expansion into new markets including the US, Singapore and Australia, along with headcount growth across its development, sales and customer success teams.
Platform adoption
The platform is currently used by 15 of the top 20 law firms in the UK and has been used in major disputes, including the $6 billion Russian aviation insurance case over aircraft stranded in Russia after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine - a matter that saw Clifford Chance and HSF Kramer take lead roles.
TrialView has largely been self-funded up to now and says it has reached nearly $3 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) while operating profitably.
Bigger picture
The round underscores continued investor enthusiasm for legal AI and comes on the heels of a flurry of raises across the sector.
Last week, Swedish startups Legora and Vesence both announced rounds, following a $50 million raise by contract review platform Spellbook earlier in October. In September, London-based Wexler - also targeted at litigation teams - secured a $5 million seed round.
What they said
Stephen Dowling, TrialView founder and CEO, commented on the funding:
"This investment is a significant milestone for TrialView. It helps us promote our vision of helping litigators serve their clients through more effective case preparation. Our platform is more than an AI tool - it’s a partner for disputes teams through the life cycle of a case.
"We are thrilled to partner with Elkstone Ventures, who share our commitment to innovation and growth. This funding will allow us to accelerate the development of our AI-driven features, expand our team, and establish a stronger presence in key markets, including the US."
